Create, approve and reuse WhatsApp templates without the guesswork
Every message you start a conversation with has to be an approved template. This is where they are written, submitted, tracked and copied between numbers.
Included in the platform licence. Not a paid add-on.
How does WhatsApp template approval work?
A WhatsApp message template is pre-approved copy Meta reviews before a business can use it to open a conversation. Templates come in three categories: marketing (promotions, needs opt-in), utility (order and account updates tied to a transaction) and authentication (one-time codes). WappBlaster creates all three, shows approval status and rejection reasons, and can bulk-clone approved templates from one WhatsApp API number to another.

What you get
Everything here is documented and shipping today, not on a roadmap.
All three template categories
Marketing for promotions, utility for order and account updates, authentication for one-time passcodes. Category drives both the approval bar and what Meta charges for the conversation.
Interactive components
Quick-reply buttons, call-to-action buttons, call-now buttons including toll-free numbers, dynamic website buttons and native flow buttons that open a mini app.
Rejection reasons, in plain view
When Meta rejects a template, the reason is shown against it. Most rejections are a category mismatch or promotional wording in a utility template, both a quick fix.
Bulk clone between numbers
Copy an approved template set from one WhatsApp API number to another in one action instead of re-typing each template per number.
AI-drafted templates
Describe the message and get a compliant draft back, then edit it before submitting for approval.
Order details and order status templates
Purpose-built utility templates for commerce: an itemised order with a pay button, and a status update as the order moves.
How it works
Setting it up
- 1
Pick the category honestly
Choosing marketing when it is marketing avoids the most common rejection of all.
- 2
Write the body with variables
Add placeholders for name, order or amount, and provide sample values Meta can review.
- 3
Add buttons
Quick replies, links, call buttons, or a flow button that opens a mini app.
- 4
Submit and watch the status
Approval is usually minutes. If it is rejected, the reason is on the template.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about WhatsApp template approval.
Why was my WhatsApp template rejected?
Most rejections come from category mismatch (promotional content submitted as utility), placeholder problems (a variable at the very start or end, or missing sample values), or content Meta restricts. The exact reason is shown against the template so you can correct and resubmit.
Link to this answerHow long does WhatsApp template approval take?
Usually minutes. Meta allows up to 24 hours, and a template flagged for manual review can take longer.
Link to this answerWhat is the difference between marketing and utility templates?
Utility templates follow something the customer did, like an order or a booking, and are charged at the lower utility rate. Marketing templates promote, need opt-in, and carry the highest per-message rate. Sending a promotion as a utility template gets the template rejected or the category corrected by Meta.
Link to this answerCan I edit an approved template?
Yes, within Meta’s limits, and an edited template goes back for review. For a materially different message it is usually faster to create a new one.
Link to this answerDo templates have to be re-created for each WhatsApp number?
Templates are tied to a WhatsApp Business Account, so a new number in a different account needs its own. Bulk clone copies an approved set across so you are not re-typing them.
