Both dial from your own SIM

Runo vs RMDialer

Both are SIM-based call management CRMs for Android sales teams, so neither needs a virtual number or an IVR. The gap is price basis and WhatsApp: Runo lists ₹599 per user per month on annual billing, RMDialer is ₹1,908 per user per year, and RMDialer includes the official WhatsApp Business API and the Web CRM in the same plan.

Is RMDialer a good Runo alternative?

RMDialer and Runo both dial through your own SIM on Android, so neither needs a virtual number, KYC or an IVR, and call minutes come from your existing plan. RMDialer costs ₹1,908 per user per year and includes the official WhatsApp Business API and the Web CRM. No number is ported, so you can run both side by side first.

Capabilities

Runo vs RMDialer: feature by feature

Both dial through the phone’s own SIM, so call quality and call cost are the same on either. This table is about the software around the call, and what a seat costs.

Where Runo wins

Real-time team visibility

Runo leans harder into the live management view than RMDialer does.

  • Live status showing who is available, on a call or offline
  • Real-time dashboards for calls and talk time
  • Rule-based automatic lead allocation

Flexible billing terms

Runo lists yearly, half-yearly and quarterly billing on its pricing page.

  • Three billing terms listed openly
  • All plans described as including the full feature set
  • Useful if finance prefers shorter billing cycles

Where RMDialer wins

About a quarter of the per-seat cost

The same job at a materially different price.

  • Runo ₹599 per user per month billed yearly, so ₹7,188 a year
  • RMDialer ₹1,908 per user per year
  • On ten seats that is about ₹53,000 a year of difference

WhatsApp is in the box, and it is official

Not an add-on, and not an unofficial workaround.

  • Auto WhatsApp when a call ends, varying by outcome
  • Bulk campaigns on the official Meta Business API
  • Replies land beside the customer record

What the price difference actually is, per seat and per year

Both products are priced per user, so the comparison is arithmetic rather than judgement, and the ratio holds however the team grows.

Runo lists ₹599 per user per month on annual billing, which is ₹7,188 per seat per year. RMDialer is ₹1,908 per seat per year. On a five-person team that is ₹35,940 against ₹9,540. On twenty seats it is ₹143,760 against ₹38,160, a difference of over a lakh a year.

Two things are worth checking before you treat that as decided. First, Runo also lists half-yearly and quarterly terms at ₹699 and ₹899, so if your finance team will not commit annually the monthly figure rises rather than falls. Second, read their current page yourself: these figures were taken from runo.ai/pricing on the date in the footnote below, and pricing in this category moves.

The honest framing is that this is a price-basis difference rather than a feature war. Both dial from your own SIM, so call quality and call cost are identical, and the software around the call is more alike than either company’s marketing suggests.

Where Runo is genuinely the better choice

A comparison page that concludes "buy ours" in every scenario is not worth reading, so here is the case against switching.

If real-time floor management is the reason you are buying, Runo has invested more in it. Live status showing who is available, on a call or offline, and real-time dashboards, are more developed than RMDialer’s equivalent. Our call monitoring shows activity and outcomes as they happen, which covers most supervision needs, but it is not a live availability board.

Rule-based automatic lead allocation is the other one. Runo distributes leads by rules; RMDialer assigns round-robin on arrival or manually, which is simpler and less configurable. If your routing depends on territory, language or product in a way that must be automatic, evaluate both properly.

And if shorter billing terms matter to your cash flow, Runo publishes three of them. RMDialer sells yearly and three-monthly.

What the extra money in RMDialer’s plan is not buying

The usual reason one product costs a quarter of another is that it does a quarter as much. That is worth testing rather than assuming, so here is what is inside the ₹1,908.

Official WhatsApp Business API is the substantial one. Automatic messages after a call, varying by outcome, plus bulk campaigns, on Meta’s own platform rather than by automating a personal WhatsApp account. That distinction matters because the unofficial method breaches Meta’s terms and gets numbers banned; the reasoning is on the WhatsApp dialer page.

The desktop web panel is included rather than held back for a higher tier, which is where per-employee reporting, the conversion funnel and the call-mix analysis live. So is the telecalling CRM, the call analytics and call recording.

There is also a free tier that needs no account at all: the phone dialer, call log, caller ID and basic analytics stay free permanently. That is the cheapest way to judge whether the interface suits your callers before anyone pays anything.

Switching without betting the quarter on it

The reason most teams do not switch calling software is not price. It is the fear of a bad fortnight in the middle of a sales quarter.

That risk is lower here than in most software migrations, because neither product owns your phone numbers. Both dial through the SIM in the handset, so there is no number to port, no telecom paperwork and no cutover date. Your Runo account keeps running while RMDialer is set up alongside it.

The practical approach is to run both for a week on a subset. Export leads to CSV from Runo, import into RMDialer with the custom fields mapped, recreate your lead statuses in your team’s own language, and put two or three callers on the new one while everyone else carries on. Compare the connect rates and ask the callers which they preferred, because they are the ones who will decide whether the data stays clean.

If the difference turns out to be too small to justify the disruption, that is a legitimate answer and we would rather you reached it in a week than in a quarter.

In the app

What RMDialer looks like

Screenshots from a working account, with customer and staff names masked. We do not screenshot the other product.

  • RMDialer dialer settings on Android showing which SIM places calls, with a choice of automatic or a named SIM, and a gap between calls.
Both products dial from your own SIM. This is where RMDialer lets you choose which one.
  • RMDialer Auto WhatsApp settings with separate approved Meta templates for missed, outgoing and incoming calls, plus quiet hours.
The official WhatsApp Business API, included in the plan rather than sold as credits.
  • The RMDialer team board ranking callers by talk time with their total, outgoing, incoming and connected call counts.
RMDialer’s team view is activity and outcomes. Runo’s live availability board is more developed than this.

Pricing

What each one charges

Software fees only, per user. Call minutes come from your existing mobile plan on both sides, so neither product adds a per-minute charge.
