Sequences

The follow-up sequence nobody has to remember

Most deals are lost to silence, not to a competitor. A drip sequence sends the second, third and fourth message on schedule and gets out of the way the moment the customer replies.

Included in the platform licence. Not a paid add-on.

What is a WhatsApp drip campaign?

A WhatsApp drip campaign is a timed sequence of messages sent automatically over days or weeks, rather than one broadcast. WappBlaster builds drips in the automations builder using time-delay steps, triggers them from a pipeline stage, a tag, a form submission or a webhook, and can update a pipeline board as the sequence progresses.

Capabilities

What you get

Everything here is documented and shipping today, not on a roadmap.

Delay steps of any length

Wait an hour before the first nudge and four days before the second, matching how your sales cycle actually breathes.

Exit conditions

Stop the sequence when the contact replies, buys or is tagged, so nobody gets message four after they already paid.

Branching

Different next message depending on a tag, a field or whether an earlier message was read.

Board integration

Run a drip from a pipeline stage and update the card as it progresses.

Template variety per step

A carousel on step one, a plain reminder on step three, a coupon on step five.

Recurring schedules

Weekly or monthly sequences using time-delay loops.

How it works

Setting it up

  1. 1

    Pick the entry point

    A stage, a tag, a form or a webhook.

  2. 2

    Write the sequence

Three to five messages is usually right; more than that reads as pestering.

  3. 3

    Set the exits

Reply, purchase or opt-out should all end the sequence.

  4. 4

    Measure per step

Reads and replies per step show which message is doing the work.

Where it earns its keep

Common uses

  • Quote follow-up

The stage where most deals go quiet.

  • Trial-to-paid nurture

Timed nudges across the trial period.

  • Onboarding sequences

Setup steps spread over a first fortnight.

  • Renewal reminders

Thirty, seven and one day before expiry.

  • Abandoned cart recovery

One hour, one day, three days with an incentive.

  • Re-engagement of cold leads

A short sequence before dropping the lead entirely.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about WhatsApp drip campaign.

How is a drip campaign different from a broadcast?

A broadcast is one message to many people at one moment. A drip is a sequence of messages to one person over time, starting from when they entered it. Two contacts in the same drip can be at different steps.

Will someone who replies keep getting messages?

Not if you set the exit condition, which you should. A reply, a purchase or a tag can all end the sequence.

Do drip messages need approved templates?

Any message sent outside the 24-hour window after the customer’s last message needs an approved template. Inside that window you can send free-form.

How many messages should a drip have?

Three to five for most sales follow-up. WhatsApp is a more personal channel than email, and the block rate rises much faster with frequency.
