Surat’s textile market sends more WhatsApp catalogues in a morning than most cities send in a month. Saree houses, dress-material wholesalers, diamond parcel traders and Ahmedabad’s trading houses all run on daily catalogue sends to retailer lists in the thousands. That volume is why the unofficial tools fail here faster than anywhere else, and why the official version matters more.
What bulk WhatsApp marketing software means for a Gujarat trader
An official platform that sends approved templates, including PDFs, images and catalogue links, to an opted-in retailer list, daily if needed, with delivery and read reports per retailer. Gujarat’s specifics:
- Daily frequency at scale. Textile lists send new designs every morning. That is normal on the official platform to an opted-in trade list; it is fatal on a QR-code blaster.
- Very large lists. Tens of thousands of retailers across India. Per-contact pricing would make this the most expensive list in the country; unlimited contacts makes it the cheapest.
- Catalogue-heavy messages. PDFs, image sets, catalogue links. One well-built template replaces forty manual forwards.
- Gujarati and Hindi, with English for export and corporate buyers.
Who uses it in Gujarat, and how
Textile and saree houses, Surat
Ring Road, Salabatpura, Bombay Market, Millennium. Daily new-design catalogues to retailers across India; order enquiries into a shared inbox; dispatch and payment updates as utility.
Diamond and jewellery, Surat and Ahmedabad
Varachha, Mahidharpura, Manek Chowk. Parcel availability and price updates to opted-in buyers; smaller lists, higher value, tighter segments.
Trading and wholesale, Ahmedabad
Ratanpole, Kalupur, New Cloth Market, Maskati. Rate lists, stock alerts and festive schemes to retailer networks.
Manufacturing and B2B, Rajkot and Vadodara
Engineering, auto parts, chemicals. Dealer-network updates, price revisions, dispatch notifications.
Pharma distribution
Ahmedabad and Vadodara distributors to chemists: scheme circulars, stock availability, order confirmations.
Retail, coaching and clinics
Across the state, the same pattern as any Indian city: festive catalogues, batch starts, appointment reminders, in Gujarati.
Daily sends without losing the number
Gujarati first
For Surat and Ahmedabad trade lists, Gujarati is the language that gets replies. Hindi carries the out-of-state retailer network; English carries export and corporate. Tag per contact, approve the template in each language, and send the right one.

The Gujarat calendar
- July to August: set up, and the first Shravan and Rakhi sends for retail.
- Navratri: the state’s largest window. Apparel, jewellery, food, decor. For textile wholesalers, the retailer buying happens weeks before, so the catalogue push is August into September.
- Diwali and the wedding season: continuous through February for textiles and jewellery.
- Uttarayan (January): a second retail spike, food and kites and everything around them.
- Year-end (March): B2B schemes, stock clearance, new-rate circulars.
Consent
The DPDP Act 2023 applies in Gujarat as nationally: specific, recorded, withdrawable consent. The trap in the trade is the retailer list passed between brokers and market associations. Those numbers did not opt in to you, and sending to them produces blocks that hurt the number for the retailers who did. Record the opt-in source and date, keep the opt-out on every message, and see sending bulk WhatsApp legally in India.
What it costs
- Platform: ₹7,999 a year, unlimited contacts, unlimited agents, PDF and catalogue templates, shared inbox, chatbot. For a list of 20,000 retailers, that is the whole platform cost.
- Meta’s per-message charge: Meta’s India rate per marketing message, billed per message, passed through at cost. Dispatch and payment updates as utility cost less than marketing. Service replies inside the 24-hour window are free today and become billable from 1 October 2026 (details).
- Daily catalogue maths: the Meta line will be the larger one at textile volumes. That is exactly why the platform line should be flat and the list uncapped.
On the blasters sold in Surat
The textile market has more desktop bulk-WhatsApp vendors per square kilometre than anywhere in India, and more banned numbers to show for it. They automate WhatsApp Web; at daily catalogue volume, the ban is a matter of days. If it asks you to scan a QR code, it is not the official API. See what free bulk WhatsApp software actually costs and, if you are already on one, how to switch before the ban.
