The best thing about an online WhatsApp blaster is what it does not have: no file to install, no admin rights to ask for, no phone on a charger in the corner keeping the session alive. This is how the browser-based, official version works and what separates it from the “online” tools that are just WhatsApp Web with a script.
What an online WhatsApp blaster is
Two products use the phrase.
- WhatsApp Web automations presented as “online”: a web page or extension that asks you to scan a QR code, then sends from your own account through the mirrored session. Online in the sense of being in a browser; offline the moment your phone is.
- Official API platforms: a web dashboard on Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform. The number is registered on Meta’s infrastructure. The browser is just the control panel; the sending happens on Meta’s side.
Only the second is online in the sense people mean: always available, from anywhere, by anyone on the team.
How the official version works
Why no phone is involved
On the official platform the WhatsApp number is provisioned on Meta’s servers, not on a SIM in a handset. There is no session to keep alive, which is why:
- campaigns run while the office is closed and every phone is off;
- several people can be signed in at once without “WhatsApp Web is open on another device”;
- losing or replacing a phone changes nothing;
- a landline or a new SIM can be the business number, separate from anyone’s personal WhatsApp.
WhatsApp Web, “online” automation, official platform
WhatsApp Web
Official, free, one account mirrored to a browser. 256-contact broadcasts, recipients must have saved you, phone must be online. Fine for chatting.
“Online” automation
WhatsApp Web with a script. Same limits, same phone dependency, plus the ban risk that comes with automating a consumer account.
Official online platform
Browser dashboard, number on Meta, no phone, no cap, approved templates, delivery reports, multi-user inbox, chatbot, API.
What it costs
- Platform: ₹7,999 a year in India, $200 elsewhere, unlimited contacts and unlimited API calls.
- Meta’s per-message charge: per marketing message, set by Meta per country, passed through at cost. Service replies inside the 24-hour window are free today and become billable from 1 October 2026 (details).
- Hardware: whatever already has a browser.
