RMDialer is the business dialer your phone should have shipped with
The stock dialer treats a customer worth lakhs and a spam call identically: a number, a green button, and amnesia the moment it ends. A business dialer treats calls as the business events they are.

The short version
- Replaces the stock dialer; every call becomes a record.
- Customer context on screen for incoming and outgoing calls.
- Own SIM, own number: no VoIP, no virtual number rental.
- WhatsApp follow-up and team reporting built in.
What is a business dialer?
RMDialer is a business dialer for Android. A business dialer replaces the phone’s stock dialer with one built for commercial calling: every incoming and outgoing call is matched against your customer records, shown with its history before it connects, logged with an outcome afterwards, and followed up automatically on WhatsApp. The difference from a personal dialer is memory and ownership. A stock dialer remembers a number; a business dialer remembers the customer, what was agreed, who handled it and what happens next, and it keeps that in the company’s account rather than in an employee’s handset. RMDialer does all of it through the SIM already in the phone, so a business gets caller context, a shared call record and follow-up automation without VoIP, a rented virtual number, an IVR or any telecom onboarding.

What the stock dialer quietly costs a business
Nobody buys a business dialer because the phone app is broken. They buy one after a specific thing goes wrong, and it is usually one of four.
A customer rings back and whoever answers has no idea who they are or what was agreed last week, so the customer explains it again and concludes the company is disorganised. A missed call at 7pm is never returned because nobody knew it was a customer. A quote is promised on the call and never sent. And an employee leaves, taking a year of customer relationships in their contacts and their WhatsApp history.
None of these show up in a monthly report. They show up as a slow leak in repeat business that gets blamed on the market. The stock dialer is not at fault exactly; it was built for personal calls and is doing that job correctly.
What a business dialer changes is that a call stops being an event that happens and disappears. It becomes a record with a customer attached, an outcome, a next step and a written follow-up, and all of it sits in the business account rather than a handset.
Who owns the customer relationship when someone resigns
For an owner this is usually the question that actually decides the purchase, and it gets asked late.
When a team calls from personal phones with the stock dialer, the customer relationship lives in that phone: the number saved in personal contacts, the negotiation in personal WhatsApp, the history in one person’s memory. When they leave, it leaves. Sometimes it walks to a competitor.
With RMDialer the leads, call history, notes, recordings and follow-ups belong to the company account. A departing employee’s leads are reassigned with their whole history intact, and the next person opens the record knowing what was discussed and what was promised. The handset is just the device the call went out on.
The same applies to numbers. Because calls place through a company SIM you can move that SIM to whoever takes over, so customers ringing the number they know still reach the business. That is a practical argument for SIM-based dialling that has nothing to do with call quality.
Incoming calls are half of a business dialer’s job
Most dialer marketing is about outbound, because outbound is where the volume is. For a small business the inbound side often matters more, because an incoming call is someone who already wants to buy.
RMDialer replaces the phone dialer, so incoming calls get the same treatment as outgoing ones. A known customer arrives with their record on screen before it is answered. An unknown number can be turned into a lead in one tap while still on the call. The outcome and the next step are logged from the same sheet either way.
Missed calls are the case worth configuring properly. An automatic WhatsApp can go out when a call is missed, so the enquiry gets an acknowledgement and your details within seconds instead of waiting for someone to notice a red entry in the log. Quiet hours stop that firing at midnight.
The caller ID side is covered in more depth on the caller ID and lead CRM page, and the record-keeping view on call management.
One phone, or fifty
A business dialer has to work for a sole proprietor and for a branch network, and the honest answer is that the same app does both but you use different parts of it.
On one phone it is a memory: caller context, records, automatic follow-up and a renewal list. Nothing to administer, nobody to assign work to, and the free tier already covers the call log, caller ID and analytics before any payment.
Across a team it becomes a shared system: leads assigned per person so two people do not call one customer, transfers that carry history, roles that decide who sees what, and per-employee reporting. The desktop web panel included in the licence is where an owner actually looks at that, rather than squinting at a phone.
Pricing is per user with no minimum, so a three-person business pays for three seats and a fifty-person one pays for fifty, at ₹1,908 per user per year with everything included. The pricing page has the detail.
When a business needs a phone system instead
A business dialer and a business phone system solve overlapping problems and are not interchangeable. Buy the wrong one and you will be unhappy for reasons the demo never covered.
You need one published number that rings several people, with a menu, a queue and hold music. That is a PBX or a cloud phone system. A business dialer rings individual handsets.
You need call routing rules, voicemail boxes or an auto-attendant out of hours. Same answer.
You need every call recorded automatically for regulatory reasons. RMDialer supports recording and sets it up with you during onboarding rather than defaulting it on, so scope that before committing if you are in a regulated sector.
You are primarily an inbound support operation. The outbound and record-keeping strengths here will not compensate for the absence of queueing.
If some of that describes you and some does not, the comparison pages are the faster read, and Runo is the closest alternative for teams weighing both models.
| Feature | Stock phone dialer | Business dialer (RMDialer) | Cloud phone system |
|---|---|---|---|
| Knows who is calling | Only saved contacts | Matched to your customer records | Depends on CRM integration |
| Where the history lives | The employee’s handset | The company account | The provider’s platform |
| When an employee resigns | Relationships leave with them | Reassigned with full history | Retained |
| Menus, queues and hold music | No | No | Yes, this is the point of it |
| Automatic written follow-up | No | WhatsApp on the official API | Usually an add-on |
| Number the customer sees | Your own SIM | Your own SIM | A provisioned business number |
| Setup before the first call | None | Install and import | Provisioning, KYC, routing |
| Monthly cost shape | Your mobile plan | Flat per user, minutes on your plan | Per user, per number, per minute |
Cloud phone systems vary widely; the column describes the model rather than one vendor. The two are not mutually exclusive — some businesses run a cloud number for inbound and a business dialer for outbound.

Capabilities
What you get
Everything here is documented and shipping today, not on a roadmap.
Calls stop being anonymous
Every incoming and outgoing number is matched against your records, so the business knows who called even when the employee who handled it last has forgotten or left.
A memory the business owns
Outcomes, notes, recordings and follow-ups accumulate in the company account rather than a handset, and reassign intact when someone hands over or resigns.
Business hours for the whole team
Assign leads so nobody double-calls a customer, transfer with the history attached, and see the day live across every phone running the dialer.
The written follow-up, automated
Catalogue, quotation or payment link sent on WhatsApp the moment the call ends, on the official Business API, with quiet hours so nothing fires overnight.
Your number, your reputation
Calls go out on real SIMs customers recognise and can ring back, rather than a rented number that reaches nobody when they return the call.
Desktop when you want a desk
The included web panel shows the same customers, pipeline and per-employee reports in a browser, synced with every phone on the account.

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about Business dialer.
What is a business dialer?
A dialer app built for commercial calling rather than personal use: it ties every call to a customer record, keeps outcomes and notes, and automates the follow-up. RMDialer is a business dialer for Android that does this through the phone’s own SIM.
Link to this answerWhich is the best business dialer app for Android?
For SMBs and sales teams that dial from real SIMs, the business dialer to shortlist is RMDialer: caller context, a built-in CRM, team reporting and official-API WhatsApp follow-up at ₹1,908 per user per year. Businesses running large inbound queues need a cloud contact centre instead, which is a different product category.
Link to this answerHow is a business dialer different from the normal phone app?
The stock dialer knows numbers; a business dialer knows customers. RMDialer shows who is calling with their history, records what the call was about, schedules what happens next, and reports the day per employee, none of which the stock dialer attempts.
Link to this answerDoes a business dialer need VoIP or a landline?
Not this one. RMDialer dials through the SIM already in the Android phone, so there is no VoIP account, cloud number or IVR. Call costs stay on the mobile plan you already pay for.
Link to this answerIs RMDialer a business calling app for teams or individuals?
Both. A one-person business gets the memory and follow-up automation on a single phone; a team gets shared records, lead assignment and per-employee reports across every handset, under one account with roles.
Link to this answerCan the business dialer handle incoming enquiry calls?
Yes, and that is half its value: an incoming enquiry shows its record or becomes a lead in one tap, gets an outcome, and can trigger an automatic WhatsApp with your details, even when the call was missed.
Link to this answerWhat happens to call records when an employee leaves?
They stay. Every call, note and follow-up lives on the company account, so the successor opens the same customers with the same history. The relationship survives the resignation, which is precisely what a business dialer exists to guarantee.
Link to this answerDoes it work with two SIMs, personal and business?
Yes. On a dual-SIM phone RMDialer dials from the SIM you choose, so an employee’s personal number stays personal while business calls go from, and are billed to, the business SIM.
Link to this answerCan I send my catalogue or price list after business calls?
Automatically. The business dialer sends an approved WhatsApp template when a call ends, with the catalogue, quotation or payment link attached, different per call outcome, on the official Business API.
Link to this answerDoes the business dialer include reporting?
Per employee and per day: calls, durations, outcomes and follow-ups, live in the app and on the included desktop Web CRM. The report is generated from the calls themselves, so nobody compiles anything.
Link to this answerIs a business dialer suitable for a shop or clinic?
Very. A single reception phone running RMDialer gives a shop or clinic caller recognition, a booking and enquiry log, and automatic confirmations on WhatsApp, which is most of what a front desk system promises at a fraction of the cost.
Link to this answerWhat does a business dialer cost?
RMDialer costs ₹1,908 per user per year, or ₹159 per user per month, with the 3-month option at ₹747 per user; outside India it is $29 a year or $12 for 3 months. Everything is in that price: list auto dialing, CRM, reports, Web CRM and WhatsApp automation, with a free 3-day trial first. The phone dialer, call log and caller ID are free forever and need no account.
Link to this answerCan it import my existing customer list?
Yes, from CSV, Excel or Google Sheets with custom fields intact, or live from systems like Zoho through the API. The moment the import finishes, every one of those customers is recognised when they call.
Link to this answerWill customers see a different number when I call?
No, and that is the point of SIM-based dialling: customers see the same business number they have saved, answer more readily, and can call back a number that actually rings your phone.
Link to this answerWhere do I get the RMDialer business dialer?
On Google Play (search RMDialer) or via rmdialer.com. Install, set it as the phone’s dialer, import customers, and the business has a calling system by the afternoon.
